About Us

Canberra Play Therapy was founded by Ivanka, an experienced early childhood educator and qualified play therapist. After noticing a gap in services that truly meet children where they are, she was drawn to Play Therapy, a child-centred approach that allows children to simply be themselves without expectation or judgment.

It is our mission to provide a safe, nurturing space where children can express themselves freely through play, build emotional resilience, and strengthen connections with their families.

We aim to support children’s emotional wellbeing using evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed approaches that honour each child’s pace and individuality.

We envision to make therapeutic support through play accessible for every child in Canberra, meeting them in spaces that feel meaningful, such as their home, school, or early learning centre.
